BatteryBar is one of the most accurate battery meters available. BatteryBar is a battery status meter toolbar that displays the status of your battery in the taskbar at the bottom of your screen.

As you use your battery, BatteryBar keeps historical data on how fast it discharges and charges. While discharging, BatteryBar shows the percentage as a horizontal bar, colored green above 35percent, yellow between 20percent and 35percent, and red below 20percent. It shows the time remaining in hours and minutes.

While charging, BatteryBar is blue to indicate charging, and displays the amount of time left until the battery is fully charged. BatteryBar by Osiris Development were around for quite a while now, so this isn't entirely new. But if you frequently find yourself in situations with your computer without it always being plugged in then it does you good to know about BatteryBar.

Fortunately, there's not much to know other than the fact that it gives you a better battery monitor than the Windows default. The way it works is quite neat. To start, you first install the free version of BatteryBar on your PC. Then you simply configure it according to your preferences and click "dash".

It will then show you your battery level, percentage charge left, the percentage charge remaining, the percentage of full charge and the time it took to finish charging your battery to full capacity.

You can also use the Windows program BatteryBarPro as an alternative to the free version. This program comes with a variety of useful features and functions including battery status monitoring, PC speed and performance reporting, battery alarm notification, system and device detection, customized battery monitoring, etc. BatteryBar Pro is also quite easy to use and its advanced features are really useful for those who want to keep track of their PC performance.

Although both programs are excellent, I would personally recommend BatteryBar as it has more features and has been designed specifically for people who use windows as their PC of choice.

We don't have any change log information yet for version 3. Sometimes publishers take a little while to make this information available, so please check back in a few days to see if it has been updated.

If you have any changelog info you can share with us, we'd love to hear from you!
